"BUBBLE WAND"

I chose a bubble wand as the starting point for my inspiration. I wanted to translate the ethereal and amorphic characteristics that bubbles have into textiles. I used marbling, nuno felting, and freehand crochet to create textures and fabric surfaces that would be constrained by the geometrical shapes within the clothes themselves - thus imitating the aesthetic of bubbles. For accessories I developed a textile by vacuum forming transparent PVC together with iridescent organza into a textured surface.
